I am a U.S. Army Infantry veteran who served from 1971-72 in the DMZ of Korea. I understand a lot of the issues veterans struggle with as I have struggled with them myself.

I started photographing homeless men living on the streets of Cleveland in 1983 a substantial portion of them were veterans. Left Ohio in 1984 and continued to photograph the other aspects of homelessness including those living and fleeing conflicts in Pakistan, Afghanistan, El Salvador, and Hondorus. I returned to Ohio in 1989 and continued photographing this subject until 1998.

My point of view is that of an experienced photojournalist and medical photographer..
