Most large corporations started as small businesses. There are few countries that have an easier process for starting a small business than the United States.  

The federal government offers assistance for some small businesses through the U.S. Small Business Administration (link). Most manufacturing companies with 500 employees or fewer, and most non-manufacturing businesses with average annual receipts under $7.5 million, will qualify as a small business.
