This is the war memorial in Ely Square. It is a stone memorial to most of the wars in the history of our nation. The bricks are recent, they are of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Most townships, villages and cities of Lorain County have monuments of remembrance some of the of the wars of the United States of America. Some of the monuments in Ely square precede the creation of Ohio, Lorain, and Elyria, but not the lives of the of first settlers.

The most disturbing is the War on Terror as the numbers are missing. The objectives are vague.

There are other plaques in remembrance that predate this memorial, which I will post else were.
